How Canada Express Entry Works?

It works based on the skills and experience that the applicant has and upon that they are assessed and asked to move. So, if you are applying for Canada, in the first place, you will have to visit the Express Entry website and fill in the credentials, like, for instance, age, experience, educational qualification and language proficiency.

Once done with that, the Express Entry system will assess the application and put the best candidate in the Express Entry pool. From there, the best candidates would appear in the Canadian Job Bank. It is basically the governing body that stores the right applicant and makes them readily available to the right employer. So, the best in the list would be considered and asked to enter in the new place.

The Programs

The Canada Express Entry System is governed by three specific programmes that assess the movement.

Federal Skilled Workers Programme

It is basically for those who have the necessary skills and have found relevance with the National Skilled Occupation List (NOL). So, for those applicants, it becomes comparatively easy to move.

If you are applying for the FSWP, you will have to meet with the following requirements.

• At the minimum, you must have 1,560 hours of experience.
• You must be in the paid work.
• You must be in the same job.
• You must have been engaged in the last 10 years of service.
• The skill type 0, A and B.

Federal Skilled Trades Programme

For those trades that are in demand in Canada, you will have to meet with the following requirements for facilitating the movement:

• You must plan to live outside Quebec.
• You must meet the desired proficiency level in English and French
• You must have two years of experience
• You must be engaged in the full time employment.

Canadian Experience Class Category

In it, you will have to meet with the following requirements:

• You must have 12 months of experience
• You have gained your experience in Canada
• Meet the required language level
• You must plan to live outside Quebec. 

Now, all these movements are governed by the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and it awards the respective points to the immigrants to make sure that they are able to move.

The CRS duly evaluates the candidates for the Express Entry programme under the following requirements:

• Core Human Capital Factor
• Accompanying Spouse and Common factor
• Skill Transferability
• Factors that evaluate provincial nomination

There is a total of 1,200 points that are listed and for those applicants who show the core competency in the skill development and nature of job that is demanded in Canada, you will get 500 points in one go. At the same time, 100 points would be awarded for skill transferability and 600 points are given for provincial nomination. So, this is essentially how the point based system works and it helps in assessing and facilitating the immigration.
